Our Clinic is leader in Colombia and Latin America in the removal of vascular lesions and is the only one with four (4) types of different lasers guaranteeing the removal of almost the totality of vascular lesions such as: small veins in face and legs (telangiectasia), medium and large (venulectasia and varicose) in face and legs , Hemangioma, dark red spots, ruby nevus, etc.

We have the latest and only endo-vascular German laser technology guaranteeing the removal of varicose veins, without the cuts and scars done by conventional procedures.

Due to the size of the veins, their color and configuration, it is not possible to treat all the veins and vascular pathologies with a single laser, they require several types of lasers and techniques that are only available at laser clinics with specialized lasers such as the Clínica Láser de Piel.

Lesions in the Face:

  Removal of small veins
  Removal of Rosaceous
  Removal of Hemangioma
  Removal of dark red spots
Removal of Ruby Nevus (red moles)

The laser produces a strongly concentrated light beam; the green light issued by our laser is the key over the venous lesion.

The red color in the blood found in the veins is absorbed by the green light. The laser seals the vein closing it and the vein is absorbed by the body, disappearing.

Different from other laser equipment which at closing the vein can leave a burn on the skin, our lasers have a device that cools the skin, protecting it and impeding its burn during treatment.

The laser treatment for telangiectasia in the legs or face depends of the quantity, size and depth of the veins. Most patients require from 1 to 3 sessions of approximately 30 minutes of treatment.

The sessions are carried out at our clinic, spacing them between 4 and 12 weeks apart.

The laser is not painful, it feels like small hits with a rubber band. Most patients do not require anesthesia. In case it is required, topic or local anesthetic will be applied.

The appearance of the area after the treatment varies from one person to another, depending on the intensity of the treatment. This includes: redness, small scabs or slight pain which disappear with time.

Some patients can present transitory changes in the color of the skin (Hyper or Hypo pigmentation a dark or clear spot), with time the skin returns to its natural color.

With age and photo ageing appear in the face two types of lesions:

Localized Veins: red or purple color. The first ones a treated with a 532 nm or 585 laser, and the second ones with a 1064 nm laser.
Pink Areas: They are constituted by microscopic capillaries giving the pink appearance. In these cases they are treated with 532 nm or 585 nm laser.

There are 5 types of veins:

Telangiectasia: They are light red or purple small veins, flat of 0.1 mm in diameter.
Reticular Veins – Venulectasia : Dark blue or green color, of 2 to 4 mm in diameter.
  Perforating Veins
Varicose Veins and bluish green color of a larger diameter and flow.

The first three are treated with two types of lasers according to the skin color and vein color.

In the perforating veins and varicose, we use the most advanced endo-vascular laser technology. This consists of introducing an optic fiber inside the veins and then through laser pulses the varicose vein is destroyed avoiding anti aesthetic varicose surgery with multiple incisions and scars.

Hemangioma: they are red or dark red tumors that appear on 3 to 10% of all children. They are characterized by their fast growth and consist of vascular disorders with many veins of different sizes. Although they stop growing with time, they can leave large aesthetic deformities and affect the functioning of some organs, and the early treatment with the appropriate lasers is critical.

According to the characteristics of the lesion, our Clinic uses three (3) types of different lasers in their removal.

Dark Red Spots (PWS): Malformations caused by a partial or total lack of development of the nerves surrounding the veins. They can be flat or raised (protruding the skin surface).

They are generally constituted by veins of different diameter and therefore require several lasers in order to be treated; such as 532 nm, 1.064 nm, 585 nm and 980 nm.
